Remember what the Bible says that everything that's right will be wrong and everything wrong will be right.
From what I gather on the press, blogs, white house, etc. they are not going to stop the invasive Carp. All rivers and streams flow into Lake Michigan and everything that the DNR and Sportsman have done for decades will be undone. Like our Constitution, and freedom Trout Unlimited's days are numbered, Flies only and Blue Ribbon Trout & Salmon Rivers will become something we can only tell our children and grandkids about Once upon a time in Michigan. Also remember our puppet Governor is very good friends with Hillery Clinton if that doesn't scare you start looking for a recipe for Silver Carp.

See the DEQ Press Release that I posted on this topic on February 18th. The wheels of justice are grinding forward...

There has been a lot done on this. The first time the dam failed, TU took part in a lawsuit to remove the dam but the judge ruled against us primarily since at that time the dam was providing electrical power and the ranch was not connected to the grid. The judge did say in his ruling that if a similar incident occurred in the future, that the dam should be removed. Our chairman at the time was actually sued for libel for comments he made about the dam, but the case was dismissed.

Trout Unlimited has been involved this second time around too. We have taken part in discussions with the DEQ and the owners of the Song of the Morning Ranch about removal of the dam while the state built their legal case. Unfortunately a settlement could not be reached so this is going to court. Stay tuned for further news...

It's strange that I didn't have any knowledge of this sooting event last year. I've bee shooting clays for 50 years and registered for 25 years & belong to 2 gun clubs. I use to go to the youth shoots and Scouting events and don't have any info on those anymore either.
