In West Michigan, one great spring tradition is the Schrems West Michigan Trout Unlimited 45th annual banquet. It will be held at Watermark Country Club on Thursday, March 25, 2010. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and our dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m.
SWMTU has played an instrumental role in the conservation of our local watersheds. This year we are funding a dam removal study, initiate new improvements to the Dolan property, continue work on Tyler Creek and habitat work on the Pigeon River, sponsored two Salmon in the Classroom programs and are progressing on the “Home River” initiative for the Rogue River supported by Trout Unlimited National. Your attendance at the banquet is an important way for you to insure these and similar activities will continue.
This year’s banquet will feature chances to win fly rods, rod and reel packages, artwork, sports memorabilia, vacation getaways, golf packages and a variety of fishing and non-fishing related items. The funds raised will help us achieve our goal of $25,000 to benefit coldwater conservation in West Michigan. The banquet committee will continue the table sponsorship format for your business, friends, clients, associates and you to demonstrate your support of our coldwater resources.
