Sis Schrems passes away

Ellen H. "Sis" Schrems, aged 93, of Grand Rapids, the widow of Cornelius Schrems, died at her home September 18, 2003.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, among them Suzanne (Myron) Smith of Glen Arbor and Jodi (Raymond) Bourque of Plymouth, MA. Mrs. Schrems was the 1935 Women's State Golf Champion, Saginaw Country Club Women's Champion seven times, Cascade Country Club Women's Champion five times, Blythefield Country Club Women's Champion four times, a member of the Indian Club, Women's Board, Junior Board at Blodgett Hospital and St. John's Guild.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 27 at 3 p.m. at Porter Hills Meeting House, Rev. Melody Johnson officiating. Entombment at Oakwood Mausoleum in Saginaw.
